大家一般知道的申请高中程序是到学校索取或网站上下载该校的申请表格，按要求填好寄出。由于各个学校的表格不同，老师推荐信的数量和表格也不一样，都要一个个去准备，如果申请几个学校，积累下来的工作量比较大也比较繁琐。
近几年美国越来越多的私立学校开始接受SSAT标准申请。标准申请就是申请程序标准化，一个申请表，一个推荐信数量和格式，同一申请费。 所有操作都在SSAT网站上完成，最后申请由SSAT送往各个学校。也就是做一份申请，申请不同的学校。大大地减少了申请生的工作量。 对中国考生来讲最大的好处就是申请DIY更简单容易了。
如果你注册了SSAT考试，那么用你收到确认信上的login ID 进入到SSAT网站里，就能找到标准申请的信息。 标准申请有以下五个部分：
The standard Admission Application includes:
· Student Information Form (学生信息表)
· Student Questionnaire (学生问答)
· Parent Statement (家长陈述)
· Teacher Recommendation Forms (English, Math, School Head/Counselor) (老师推荐信，数学，英文 和学校升学顾问各一封)
· Academic Record. (成绩单)
其中Student Questionnaire学生问答里有五个问题：
1. List and describe your level of interest and participation in school activities (school, volunteer groups, athletics, music, etc.). List any awards or honors you received in the past two years. In which activities do you plan to participate in the future?
列出和描述你对学校活动(上课，义工组，体育，音乐等)的兴趣和参与程度
2. List and describe your level of interest and participation in hobbies, activities, and groups not associated with school. List any awards or honors you received in the past two years.
列举你参加的校外活动(爱好，活动，组织)的兴趣和参与程度，列举你过去两年中的获奖和荣誉。
3. What reading have you enjoyed most in the past year and why?
你过去一年中你度过的书中你最喜喜欢的是什么，为什么?
4. Please note anything more you would like us to know about you.

5. Please choose one of these statements and then write a 250-500 word response to it.
