申请康奈尔大学面试将要延期,应如何准备

随着康奈尔ED截止日期延迟到11月15日,今年的校友面试通知也相应地延迟发送。目前还没有收到邀请的同学请淡定,一位长期活跃的康奈尔大学校友面试官透露,她“刚刚”收到选人名单。因此,可以确定的是,今年康奈尔大学校友面试邀请确实比往年来的更晚一些,但这项工作正在紧密安排中,应该马上就会有消息了。

当然,需要注意的是,校友面试并不是正式的招生官面试,和录取结果也没有完全的关系,因为申请人数太多,学校不可能为每位申请者提供面试机会,所以除了建筑专业将面试列为强制要求之外,其余学院和专业的面试都只是提供信息交流为主,不作为录取的决定性因素。

Admission Interviews

Formal admission interviews are required for applicants to:The architecture program in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. Applicants to the art department are encouraged, though not required, to have an interview.Applicants need to schedule an interview.

Though Cornell offers applicants the opportunity to meet with Cornell alumni admissions ambassadors, formal interviews are not required, nor offered, for any other undergraduate programs.Interviews are not offered as part of the Dyson School’s undergraduate admissions process.

入学面试

Instead, they are optional, informal conversations that allow students to ask questions, become acquainted with another perspective on the university, and provide additional information. The contact process is completely automated; applicants cannot request or otherwise initiate an alumni contact. Each applicant is assigned to a local committee after Cornell receives the application and fee. If the applicant’s local committee has active members, the chairperson of that committee attempts to match the applicant with an available volunteer. If a match occurs, the volunteer then contacts the applicant to arrange a meeting.
